Some news before Christmas!

Hi Everyone, 

We've made some great progress. The production of our cotton balls has started. This was the most urgent because it is the first of many steps that need to happen to make our Cocoon balls. Once we receive them, we will need to plunge them in a resin bath and then plan for an appropriate drying time. Thanks to this coating, our cocoons will be able to resist scratching much better. And that's what we want!

We are also in the process of creating our packaging and we're just waiting now to receive the prototypes. We'll show them to you as soon as we're happy with them.

The other production steps are well on the way. The materials are here and we've started with the assembly process. We're still right on schedule for the moment. Cross fingers it keeps going!

We have sent our Meyou Christmas cards to everyone that asked for them so if you haven't received them please let us know and we'll send it again.

We wish you a very happy holiday with your cat! We hope it won't be like Simon's cat :-)

Nous avons bien avancé.

La fabrication des boules de coton a commencé. Cette étape était la plus urgente car elle est le départ d’une multitude d’actions qui doivent avoir lieu par la suite sur les cocons. En effet, une fois que nous les auront réceptionnées, nous devrons leur faire subir "un bain" afin de les enduire d’une résine et prévoir ensuite un temps de séchage. Grâce à cet enduit, nos cocons résisteront d’avantage aux griffes de nos chats. Et ça, on adore.

Nous avons en parallèle créé nos emballages. Nous attendons de recevoir les prototypes pour découvrir le résultat. On vous les montrera dés que nous en serons satisfaits. :-) Les autres étapes de fabrication suivent leur cours. Les matières premieres sont arrivées, la confection a également commencé. Nous respectons pour l’instant notre planning. On croise les doigts pour que tout continue comme cela jusqu’à la fin.

Nous avons envoyé à toutes les personnes qui le souhaitaient les cartes de Noël Meyou. Si l’un de vous ne l’a pas reçue par mail, contactez nous on vous la renverra.

Nous vous souhaitons de très bonnes fêtes de fin d’année en espérant qu'elles ne seront pas comme celles de Simon's cat. :-)

As you all know, Paris is going through a hard time. We just wanted to say thank you for your support and kind words. Our families, friends and co-workers are all fine. We are trying to carry on even if all of this is very shocking, not to mention we live and work just a street away from Le Bataclan.

Charles Trenet perfectly described our country as it used to be and as it will always be.

We would be grateful if you could please answer the survey from Backerkit so we can move on to the next step.

We wanted to thank you all for your support and contributions. 

Thanks to you, Meyou is able to get into business and launch its products. Kickstarter was only the beginning of our great adventure, now comes the time to make it real! Here is what is going to happen in the next few weeks.

 Kickstarter is in charge of collecting the funds and transferring them to Meyou within 15 days. During that time, we will be sending out our questionnaire so you will be able to choose the colors of your products, communicate your mailing address and add products to your order, should you wish to do so. It is very important that you reply as swiftly as possible, as your answers will define our manufacturing quantities.

Thanks to you, we will be able to work on our litter box concept! 

We can’t show you the design right now because we first need to work on the prototypes and take care of the intellectual property rights; also, the design may change in the process. But thanks to your support we now have the necessary funds to start creating the prototypes and do all relevant tests to offer an alternative to litter boxes! Thank you!!

Let’s keep on going and let’s try a second strech goal: 

the cat tree concept! What would you say if we could design something graphic, refined and modular? Something elegant that would allow your cat to have a vantage point to sleep or just give him the opportunity to climb on top of the furniture? Something so nice your friends would never guess it's actually a cat tree…

Grace à vous, nous allons être capable de travailler sur notre concept de litière! Nous ne pouvons pas vous montrer notre concept car nous devons avant tout le developper et le prototyper. Et c'est seulement une fois que toutes ces étapes sont faites que nous pourrons protéger le design et vous montrer le produit. Mais grâce à vous, nous allons avoir les fonds nécessaires pour créer les prototypes et faire tous les tests nécessaires pour vous proposer une alternative aux litières déjà existantes.

Continuons notre aventure et essayons d'atteindre notre nouvel objectif: L'arbre à chat! Que diriez vous si on pouvait designer quelque chose de graphic, élégant et modulable? Quelque chose de raffiné qui permettrait à votre chat d'avoir un perchoir pour dormir ou qui lui donnerait l'opportunité de grimper en haut de vos meubles? Quelque chose de tellement chic que vos amis ne pourraient deviner que cela est en fait un arbre à chat...
